It is 31 December… the world waits in anticipation for the clock to tick… countdown… 10…9…8…7…6…5…4…3…2…1… HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! 1 January… It’s an absolute magical mindshift moment for some people. People all around the world are making plans, resolutions and wondering and hoping for change.
Where did it all start? “Religious origins. Babylonians made promises to their gods at the start of each year that they would return borrowed objects and pay their debts. The Romans began each year by making promises to the god JANUS, for whom the month of January is named”.

New year’s resolution is a tradition, but some people may see it as a fad. We attribute the new year to a blank canvas. People reflect on how they can improve themselves for the upcoming year. So if you fail at keeping up with your bucketlist does it mean that you have to wait the entire year before we get another one? It can become real stressful with this mentality. No ways! After all, it is just another day! New year’s is a time where people clarify their priorities or to make a break with the past. All around the world people are making promises to themselves.
Maybe you are still in this awfull job you wished to quit last year… Maybe you are still fat? Rather fear less and love more. Rather celebrate yourself and celebrate others. Follow your joy in life and be here NOW.
I am not very good at keeping New year’s resolutions. There is usually some kind of hiccup along the way and I can’t keep up with my new bucket list. No pressure at all (Lol!). I know that we can start fresh any time we choose and try again and again every time we want and need change in life.
