Forgiveness brings peace

As a Forty Plusser with a “not so easy past”, I know that it can be really hard to forgive someone that have wronged you. O boy, you must believe me. There was a time in my life that my heart was filled with utterly hatred, especially towards my dad. I had to let it go. The show must go on.

This blog post is a note to myself. I try not to bleed on the people that I love anymore. I also had to cut out certain people in my life in order to find peace. I forgave them, but don’t plan to social with them anymore.

Treat each other nicely and well. Live in such a way, that people will enjoy to be in your presence. See past each other’s mistakes. It’s not always easy to get it right, because we often hurt each other through our words and actions. And when we get hurt in life, evil and hate come out too easily. But Jesus asks us to love our neighbour as we love ourselves. Not easy!! And if we can do it, it is also proof that we love Him above all and want to obey His Word! It is not always easy to forgive someone, but with God’s help, we can do it. Jesus forgives us and He wants us to take that forgiveness to do good to others. See past the mistakes of others just as Jesus overlooks yours! Forgiveness brings peace!  * Prayer * Lord, please help me to forgive others, as You forgive me each time. Amen.

* Challenge: * Forgive anyone who has wronged you today. * NS: * The world is rough out there. Life throws all kinds of curveballs that we sometimes struggle to dodge.  Stay strong.
