The beauty of Nature

As a Forty Plusser I know that jealousy is one the seven deadly sins.  ” Envy is the intense desire to have an item that someone else possesses”.  The Bible says the following in Proverbs 14:30, “A sound heart is life to the body, but envy is rottenness to the bones”.  To envy someone is a disaster for you soul.  But, I don’t want to go depro today.  This post isn’t about someone who I envy.  It’s all about Nature!  I almost”envy” Nature for how wisely, tenderly and sternly she looks after us all in all kind of weather and situations.  It’s about total admiration for Nature.

I really admire Mother Nature.  In fact, the beauty of Nature is for all to admire.  A famous American writer, Edward Paul Abbey, known for his advocacy of environmental issues, said “Wilderness is not a luxury but a necessity of the human spirit, and as vital to our lives as water and good bread”….  On days that I want to give up, I think about how Mother Nature just always fights back.  Nature doesn’t run away from trauma.  Nature has a way to replenish itself, not matter what!  The lesson I learn here is that Nature teaches us to flourish naturally, with no concern for obstacles and limits.

Any beautiful landscape invigorates my soul and restores my energy.  I have these days that I asked myself “is this all there is to life…”  But Nature has a beautiful answer to this… when I see the miraculous workings of Nature I appreciate life again.  Beautiful sunsets just have a way to make me appreciate life again.   Nature also has a way of telling me that growth requires time.   Whenever I feel stressful I go for a walk to find peace and silence.  Nature constantly reminds me to enjoy the smalls things in life, like smelling a rose.   Nature never ever discriminates.    Nature is always present and does not neglect her children like the abandoning parent.

Wisdom quotes:

  • Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better. …
  • Just living is not enough… one must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower. …
  • Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine. …
  • Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience. …
  • In nature, light creates the color.
