Drama…drama!!

As a Forty Plusser I sometimes fantasize to just let go and divorce myself from all the drama in my life!! I have one life only!  My advice to myself would be that I should be filling my life with things that makes me happy.  I am talking about things that better you as a person.  Repetitive drama isn’t good for you soul or health.  Constant drama isn’t allowing you to grow or change as a person.  In other words… it’s just not worth it!

As I grew older I have changed a lot about the way I make decisions.  It can be a tricky thing.  Maybe I am a bit selfish.  I try not to stick around with something that is unfulfilling and I try to stray away from things that is only dulling my happiness.  I was once a people-pleaser.  I just got to a point in my life that I don’t have strength for meaningless relationships like toxic friends.  It would be totally idyllic to just say “good-bye drama, go away!”.

It really isn’t always easy to just walk away from senseless drama.  It can sometimes be real tricky especially if you need to distance yourself from a family member.  I just cannot do this “same old, same old”crap anymore!  There are days that I run full speed to get away from drama that surrounds me, but drama has a way to sneak up unexpectedly. I want to do things with purpose or nothing at all.  I just want love, peace and happiness!

Wisdom quote: ” A lot of walking away will do your life good.  Walk away from arguments that lead you to anger and nowhere.  Walk away from people who deliberately put you down.  Walk away from the practice of pleasing people who choose to never see your worth.  Walk away form any thought that undermines your peace of mind.  Walk away from judgmental people, they do not know the struggle you are facing and what you have been through.  Walk away from your mistakes and fears, they do not determine you fate.  The more you walk away from things that poison your soul, the healthier you life will be.” – Dodinsky
