  2. Unless and until they try to take you down with them. The only limit to what otherwise should be infinite is the mantra for those who have been traumatized that we are not obligated to set ourselves on fire as the only way to keep someone else warm. It’s a hard thing to balance sometimes, to practice kindness to all, including stopping if you reach a point where you end up being unkind to yourself.
