Time heals…yes/no?

As a Forty Plusser I know that time really make certain wounds hurt less. So, does time heals everything? Yes or no? – I really don’t know!! As time goes by the pain becomes more bearable. As minutes, hours, days, months pass –  emotional wounds will become more tolerable. At least… I hope!

Our whole existence is about time. A time for this… a time for that…
We all have our own share of sorrows: We all have to deal with slipped opportunities, death of a loved one and broken relationships. As time goes by emotional wounds will be healed considerably. I have learned that most sorrows are forgotten, given time.

Does time heals your wounds permanently? Just as physical wounds heal and form a scar, so does emotional wounds. I don’t think that time itself heals emotional wounds completely! As time goes by your memory becomes “blurred”.

Everyday is a new day to learn on how to deal with your heartaches. In my opinion you will grow and learn more each day as time passes.

Time as your teacher: There are a lot of people out there that are facing the same pain, or even greater, than us. The way you deal with your sorrows can even help other sooth their pain. For me time=wisdom. You can help to motivate people who deal with the same challenges.

We all have our own inner “timer”. Your time is not my time. You cannot tell another person how long he has to mourn – that’s plain cruel!!! The struggle is real for every one of us. Can time actually mend a broken heart? You have to answer this one for yourself.

Wisdom: Everything Has Its Time

Ecclesiastes 3 New King James Version (NKJV)

3 To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:

2 A time [a]to be born,
And a time to die;
A time to plant,
And a time to pluck what is planted;
3 A time to kill,
And a time to heal;
A time to break down,
And a time to build up;
4 A time to weep,
And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn,
And a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones,
And a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace,
And a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to gain,
And a time to lose;
A time to keep,
And a time to throw away;
7 A time to tear,
And a time to sew;
A time to keep silence,
And a time to speak;
8 A time to love,
And a time to hate;
A time of war,
And a time of peace

  1. True that!
    Time eases the pain. Yeah , I agree it gets blurred .

    Though it’s not same for all. It depends on how we look at our future. 😀

  4. This definitely depends on how one spends his time. 🙂 Also, how we react to situations.

  5. Every wound means a scar, but every scar is a crack for loving yourself and others! In my view, no time, but love heals everything. Thank you for sharing a great post and beautiful pictures!
