It takes place in the heart

The real act of marriage takes place in the heart, not in the ballroom or church or synagogue. It’s a choice you make – not just on your wedding day, but over and over again – and that choice is reflected in the way you treat your husband or wife.

  1. A couple living together
    in a committed relationship
    was recognized as marriage
    throughout history. Even by
the Church, way back in the
    middle ages.

  3. I agree completely. My man and I have never felt the need to walk down any aisles or exchange any rings (… Ok, so I may have a ring out of the deal…) but, we’ve been together over 10 years now… That’s committed enough for me! It’s just as hard/easy to get out of a long term relationship as a marriage these days!
