What To Do When You Run Out of Words

The Art of Blogging

Even though you do not want to think about it, there will come a time when you simply run out of inspiration for your blog.

You’ve been writing blog posts about the same topics for way too long.

You’re exhausted.

You just don’t know what to write anymore.

  1. Your blog is so interesting and fun. Seems so natural and not forced.

I started having the same thought. But then for some reason I decided to blog about something completely different one day. Didn’t seem right, didn’t fit in with the blog – but it kinda worked for me. Now I often forget about what the blog is supposed to be about. I remember reading someone say that if they can’t think of anything to say then they just post a photo or a quote or reblog and then make a drink and do other things for the rest of the day.

  2. I’m not sure how it’s possible to “run out of words” unless you stop living and doing. Even if your blog is specific to one type of format, it’s perfectly acceptable to point out the wonderful things other people are doing. Example: Book blogs can showcase well-written reviews by other bloggers. A writer’s blog can have entries about things that are inspiring. I find Austin Kleon’s books very inspiring when I’m looking for ideas. Plus, you don’t HAVE to write a blog post EVERY SINGLE DAY. LOL For good or for bad, sometimes I blog a lot and sometimes not as much. And that’s okay!

  3. I have yet to run out of words; I might post less often… always something to write about!
    I have been blogging for 6 years…
