Don’t worry be happy

As a Forty Plusser woman I really TRY to embrace life as it is.  Do you embrace life or does life always seem complicated to you?

Note to myself: I would recommend that you try to figure out what makes you truly happy in life. Stop sulking!!

For me, happiness is just a moment, and don’t last forever. So why does it feel that happiness is just a short lasting feeling? I personally think that our inner experiences and emotions rule our state of happiness. We are our own limitation on finding happiness. Happiness is a conscious state of mind and not something to achieve somewhere in the future. That “one day I will be happy… if…”. So the way we think directly influence our state of happiness.

A big lesson for me was the day that I stopped running away from my problems. Face it, accept it, and deal with it! As a Forty Plusser I also came to the conclusion that money, luxuries and fancy cars can’t buy you happiness. After all, possessions are meaningless if you cannot find inner peace. It is nice to have money, but a full bank account won’t guarantee complete happiness. You need to be content. Be grateful for what you have and stop comparing yourself to others.

There is no such thing as a perfect life! There is no such thing as a perfect human! There is no perfect partner! So don’t judge. Be comfortable in you own skin and don’t let other people’s opinions dictate the way you live your life. I learned the hard way that you must not count on other people to make you happy. Nobody can make you happy, except yourself! You must create the best possible world for yourself!

There will always be people who wronged you in life. This anger and resentment inside you will kill your soul. People don’t always apologise, so just move on. What I also know as a Forty Plusser Woman, is that life is what you put into it. Count your blessings.

Yebo yes!! Thumbs up! The world doesn’t owe you anything. You must take responsibility for your own life.

So yes. Note to myself: Shine your happiness! YOU CAN BE HAPPY NOW!!!!!!! The best part of all is that happiness is contagious!

Wisdom: “If you want to be happy or if you want to be miserable—either way is your choice. So choose to be happy.” “Choose to be happy. That is the only way to find happiness.”
